public final class CopticCalendar extends AbstractEpagomenalCalendar
The Coptic (Alexandrian) calendar, the liturgical calendar of the Coptic Orthodox Church and a traditional agricultural calendar of Egypt: twelve thirty-day months and a thirteenth epagomenal month, Nasie, of five days, or six in a leap year. It descends from the reformed Egyptian calendar and counts years in the Era of the Martyrs from the AD 284 accession of Diocletian. The months run توت (Thout) through النسيء (Nasie) in Arabic over a seven-day week; a year leaps when it is congruent to three modulo four, the year before a Julian leap year, so a common year is 365 days and a leap year 366, keeping step with the Julian calendar. The epoch is 29 August AD 284 (Julian Day 1824665). Its calendar type is CalendarTypes.COPTIC, and it is paired with UTCTimeDefinition.
